Auditions Open October 14
If you are interested in auditioning for the 2025 National Repertory Orchestra, auditions will open on October 14, 2024. During the eight-week Summer Music Festival season, the NRO performs as many as 21 orchestral concerts and over 100 events. The NRO provides a unique opportunity for young, talented musicians to gather invaluable experience playing a broad variety of orchestral and chamber works, led by Music Director Michael Stern and joined by world-renowned guest conductors.

Michael Stern
NRO’s Music Director Michael Stern has long been devoted to building and leading highly acclaimed orchestras. He currently holds three music director positions: The NRO, Kansas City Symphony, and Orchestra Lumos. Stern was recently named Artistic Advisor of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, one of Canada’s foremost orchestral ensembles.
