A native Hoosier, trombonist Andrew Danforth grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is an Indiana University graduate. He was recently awarded the Helgesen Fellowship at the University of Illinois, where he is completing a master’s degree in jazz trombone with Jim Pugh. While maintaining a busy schedule as a jazz/commercial trombonist, Andrew is an avid tennis player and lover of all sports.
What has been the best meal of your life?
Culver’s – every time I have it.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I have a twin sister who is pursuing oboe at Rice University.
