A recent graduate of the University of Michigan, Annamaria Vasmatzidis is an Ann Arbor based freelance violinist. An avid chamber musician, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Yizhak Schotten, Martin Katz, and Nicholas Phan. This past year, she joined the section of the Ann Arbor Symphony. Some previous programs include Banff’s Evolution: Quartet program, Aspen Music Festival, and the Heifetz Institute.

I speak a little Greek!

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Trying new recipes or going for a run outside.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I’m looking forward to gaining more ensemble and leadership experience. I think this summer will be filled with lots of beautiful music and scenery, and I’m looking forward to taking in both!
