Dante Ascarrunz, from Boulder, Colorado, is a double bassist currently completing a Master’s in Orchestral Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where he studies with Timothy Cobb. Previous degrees include a Master’s in Double Bass from the Colburn School, a Bachelors of Music in Double Bass, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Neuroscience from CU Boulder. Past teachers include Peter Lloyd and Paul Erhard. Dante is an avid tea drinker and likes board games.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I received a neuroscience degree at CU Boulder. I am a published scientist, having worked in the lab of Nobel Laureate Tom Cech.
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Traveling to alternate dimensions.
