Robert Herbst is a Colorado-based violinist. In May of this year, he received his Artist Diploma from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he previously obtained his Master’s Degree. He did his undergraduate work at Dartmouth College. His major teachers include Claude Sim, Charles Wetherbee, Sally O’Reilly, Liesl Schoenberger-Doty, and Kathy Langston. In the fall, Robert will move to Chicago to join the Civic Orchestra. Outside of his musical life, Robert enjoys writing fiction, running, rock climbing, and film photography.
When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Running/Reading/Rock Climbing – hard to choose!
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I’m a fiction writer and have published a few short stories!
