Bio:
Tessa Vermeulen of Elmhurst, Il got her Bachelor’s at Carnegie Mellon University in 2022 and will soon pursue her graduate studies at Juilliard. Tessa has performed as a concerto soloist with multiple Chicagoland orchestras and has placed in competitions throughout the U.S. Summer 2019 she was a fellow with the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, and Summer 2020 she was a fellow with the National Repertory Orchestra.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
In addition to being a musician, I am also an avid visual artist!

When taking a break from music-making, what is your favorite thing to do?
Making art, reading, or doing anything in nature.
What are you most looking forward to this summer with the NRO?
I am most excited to be challenged by new repertoire while playing with some of the best young musicians in the country.
